I read an interesting article by Linda Anderson on Flying Solo recently recently regarding where a Virtual Assistant should be located and thought it was a relevant article to include on my blog. So here’s the link http://www.flyingsolo.com.au/p257896994_Where-should-Virtual-Assistants-be-based.html. In a nutshell, the great advantage of having a virtual assistant is just that – they’re virtual. So, effectively, they could be based anywhere. It really comes down to your own personal preference and as Linda mentions in her article, it also depends on the type of work you need done. A Virtual Assistant can undertake any task that can be done on a computer and with developments in modern technology rapidly changing the way we work, meeting someone face to face is not always a requirement to forming a productive working relationship.
I love working virtually and I have worked with clients all over Australia as a Virtual Assistant and also as a Resume Writer with great success. Working virtually from my own office also enables me to offer flexibility which means that I’m available outside of traditional business hours which is a significant benefit to many clients.
Till next time,
